I've used this app daily, without the desktop version, for several months. It's simple, but highly useful as it removes all the everyday clutter that otherwise occupies my mind.

It works as a standalone GTD app on iPhone & iPod Touch if you don't worry about typing your stuff on that device

I'm more the person who's adding ideas at home and solving the stuff elsewhere. A few times i was glad to have the option to add things the mobile way though

And FYI .. you may add stuff seperate - in the desktop app AND in the mobile app. They'll sync seemlessly into each other.

Can this be used a full replacement for their desktop client?

Syncs nicely with desktop version (and limited sync from there to iCal). Simple but flexible. Needs tags to be added to iPhone version (present on desktop). One of my core apps, I recommend it.

It syncs with the desktop version now - beautifully.

Doesn't sync with the desktop version (yet). It'll be a free upgrade when it does, but until then it's usefulness is pretty limited.
