When jailbreaking was the only method for getting an app like this, I got totally hooked on MobileScrobbler for Last.fm. Sadly, since the advent of the AppStore, the new Last.fm client is only a shadow of its former self. Of course, that's mainly due to the restrictions that Apple has placed on SDK developers, so it's not the developers' fault...but the end result is still disappointing.

So, of the three apps, I'd take MobileScrobbler any day. But, since I'd just rather not jailbreak anymore, Pandora.app is the best solution for now. It buffers nicely even over EDGE, and — in general, with a few exceptions — it plays fantastic selections from my song seeds.

I keep both Pandora and Last.fm on my iPhone, but it's mainly just wishful thinking that Last.fm will get better...over EDGE, it's currently almost unusable. Pandora kicks its ass on EDGE. Again, I have no doubt it'll get better, and the truth of the matter is that I prefer Last.fm's modus operandi. I'd rather have all the statistics and data that it collects for my top weekly artists and such...but I guess I'll have to wait.

works great, even works while driving (sometimes) only complaints are about editing your channels. As of now you must log on to the site to make major changes.

This is another app I'm enjoying regularly. I had never tried the Pandora web site. Now I am a user of both (i.e. from both my desktop as well as my iPhone). Good variety and it's automatic choices haven't pissed me of yet (unlike some others I tried in the past).
