not available in Sweden? That's totally lame, is this the 21st century or what?

I'll ditto the fact that lack of scrobbling is an SDK problem: they're not allowed to do it. But, I'd imagine there has GOT to be some sneaky-yet-still-allowed way to snag the playcount somehow, and scrobble it in one big lump each time you run the app. I could be wrong, but I get the feeling there's some indirect way to do it.

The sad fact is, letting the desktop app do your scrobbling for you just isn't good enough. In general, if you've experienced a MobileSafari crash during your daily usage, it also tends to bring down iPod.app and Springboard.app...which also tends to wipe out your current log of played items. It screws up your playcount, and it screws up your "listened" markings on your Podcasts. Also, the desktop Last.fm app scrobbles podcasts whether you want it to or not. Sure, it pops up a dialog, but the checkboxes are always checked by default.

Anyhow, besides the lack of scrobbling, the app just feels less reliable and usable than its predecessor, MobileScrobbler. Which sucks, because I was really looking forward to the new/official version. I'm now using Pandora.app pretty much exclusively, but I tend to check back every few weeks to see if Last.fm has gotten better. So far, still not so great. Bummer.

My understanding is he inability to scrobble comes from the SDK/API limitations. I certainly miss it as well, although at least the desktop version of Last.fm finally picks up plays on the iPhone.

I totally agree. I downloaded it right when I saw it think I would be able to scrobble my listening habits.

A real shame this is missing the scrobbling. If I had to pick one thing I miss every day after upgrading to 2.0, this would be it.
