Awesome app

great app! using it on my iPhone nearly dayli, while i'm on the train

I bought this App because I wanted to support the developer (as I used his App on my jailbroken phone prior to the 2.0 firmware release). I found, however, that Stanza was a faster and more stable and easier to configure alternative than Bookshelf and it has displaced bookshelf as my primary reader App.

Personally I think it would be cool to be able to always have a book with me. the battery life of in iphone is no where near the kindle. But the kindle doesn't have a back light.

Will allow you to read almost any kind of file. Even some of those that have some kind of DRM (but not ebooks). You need eReader for eBooks.

This is my favorite app on my iPhone. I use it to read free public domain books from For use on this app, the best format to download from manybooks is "Custom HTML." It does not insert line breaks so the text wraps correctly no matter what size you adjust it to on the iPhone. I need a larger size text and BookShelf allows me to choose the size I want. Cons: it crashes on occasion. Hopefully that is fixed in a future release.
